; Soul Plane is the story of a man who gets stuck in an airplane toilet, wins a large settlement from the airline, and decides to use that money to start an airline that caters to African Americans.

A white family is mistakenly booked on Soul Plane's first flight. The father of the family is not generally amused by this, but the rest of the family seems to enjoy the rap music and velvet seats.

The plane they use in this movie is unique. It contains a hip hop club, strippers, and a very posh First Class area. The exterior of the plane is covered in purple velvet and the plane features low-rider hydraulics.

Snoop Dogg plays the pilot (a la Don Cornelius) and smokes pot while flying the plane.
