| Spooney Melodies was a series of animated musical shorts produced by Warner Brothers aimed to showcase popular tunes of the day. Only a handful were made in 1929 and 1930. The only short known to have survived is entitled "Cryin' for the Carolines", and features a performance by Milton Charles, the singing organist. All the other shorts are thought to be lost. This series was replaced with an animated series called Merrie Melodies in 1931.
