Stairwell: Trapped In The World Trade Center is the first 9/11 dramatization dealing with a group of people trapped in a sub-basement of the World Trade Center in New York City after the two towers collapse. Stairwell: Trapped In The World Trade Center was written, produced and directed by New York City filmmaker Jonathan M. Parisen. The film premiered in New York City on September 30, 2002 at Anthology Film Archives.

While in production on the film Parisen was criticized for making a film about the tragic events of September 11, 2001 so soon.

Footage that Parisen shot while visiting the New York City Fire Academy on September 8, 2001 was incorporated into the film.
