Stuart Little is a 1999 live-action film, based on the novel of the same name. It combines live-action and computer animation. The screenplay was written by M. Night Shyamalan, acclaimed writer/director of The Sixth Sense.

Michael J. Fox is the voice of the title character. Geena Davis and Hugh Laurie star as Eleanor and Fredrick Little, with Jonathan Lipnicki as Stuart's big brother George and Nathan Lane as the voice as the family cat Snowbell.

The film opens with Mr. and Mrs. Little and their son George on the adoption day. Mr. and Mrs. Little go to an orphanage and are asked to "pick" a child to adopt. When they cannot decide Stuart Little pops out of nowhere and the Littles immediately fall in love with him.

George doesn't take to him at first asking why his parents have decided to adopt a mouse. The same goes for Snowbell who attempts to eat Stuart upon his arrival in "The Little House" and goes to Smokey (Chazz Palminteri), the boss cat who arranges for Stuart to be "scratched out."

Tagline: The Little family just got bigger.
