He has written and directed some of the best suspense/thrillers and love stories in kannada. He has won the karnataka state awards(4 times) in the Best Screenplay & Best Dialogs categories. He has also won the Filmfare awards 4 times. Has worked with some of the best musicians in South India like Maestro Ilayaraaja, SangeethaBrahma Mr.Hamsalekha & Mr.Gunasingh. Has a passion for music which is reflected in the quality of the songs and the background scoring in his movies.
