| Superstar is a 1999 comedy movie about a quirky girl who is trying to find her way through her Catholic high school. It stars Molly Shannon, Will Ferrell and Elaine Hendrix. The movie, directed by former Kids in the Hall member Bruce McCulloch, is a spinoff from Saturday Night Live and features the character Mary Katherine Gallagher. Molly Shannon received a nomination for Blockbuster Entertainment Award "Favorite Actress - Comedy", but lost out to Heather Graham in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.
