	Movies - Surf Nazis Must Die

Surf Nazis Must Die is a 1987 film directed by Peter George (no relation to the author and professor of the same name). It is recognized as one of the worst movies of all time although the Internet Movie Database no longer lists "Surf Nazis Must Die" on its "Bottom 100" charts. It is known for poor special effects, terrible acting, and badly written dialogue. The plot is virtually nonexistent.

Plot

An apocalyptic earthquake leaves the California coastline in ruins and reduces the beaches to a state of chaos. A group of Neo-Nazis led by Adolf (Barry Brenner), the self-proclaimed "Führer of the new beach," take advantage of the resulting anarchy by fighting off several rival surfer gangs to seize control of the beaches. Meanwhile, an oil well worker named Leroy (Robert Harden) is killed by the Nazis while jogging on the beach. Leroy's Mama (Gail Neely), devastated by the loss of her son, vows revenge. After arming herself with a handgun and grenades, she breaks out of her retirement home and sets out to exact bloody vengeance on the Surf Nazis.

History

Produced by Troma Studios, well known for its films with gory content and cheap production values (for example, Toxic Avenger), the film is a testament to sick scenes and meaningless plot points. Some appreciate it for its wacky antics but it is nonetheless widely panned for its sheer lack of coherency.
