Quick Overview: When the Fire Nation attacks the Water Tribe village, Aang must reveal a secret and begin a journey.

Episode synopsis

While exploring an abandoned Fire Nation warship, Aang realizes he has been in suspended animation for a century, and accidentally sets off a trap warning the Fire Nation of his presence on their ship. Sokka tries to fight the Firebenders, but fails, so Aang gives himself up to save the village. Katara, Sokka and Appa mount a rescue mission while Aang escapes from custody. During his escape, Aang displays amazing powers that reveal him as the Avatar, the long-lost savior of the four nations. They begin their journey to the North Pole so Aang and Katara can master waterbending.
