Movies - The Chronicles of Narnia film series

The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of films produced by Andrew Adamson
, based on the series of novels, The Chronicles of Narnia, written by C.S. Lewis in the 1950s. The first film, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
, was released in December 2005. The second film, Prince Caspian
, will be released by December 2007.

led to interest in making film versions of other classic fantasy.

Prince Caspian

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
, based on Prince Caspian is expected to be released by December 25, 2007. Once again, Andrew Adamson
will direct the movie. It has been stated that Prince Caspian will have bigger and better effects, including a much larger Aslan and more creatures and battle sequences than the first film . All of the cast that was in the first movie have all signed up for the sequel. The script is almost done. This means filming could start by Summer 2006 but will most likely begin in the Fall. Possible filming locations are New Zealand and Ireland. The movie is in a preproduction status.

Other films

Since there are seven books in the Chronicles of Narnia, each book could potentially become a movie. After "Prince Caspian" the next in the series would be "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader". The production of more films depends largely on the success of previous films.
