| The Darwin Awards is a comedy film based on the website of the same name. The film is directed by Finn Taylor and premiered January 25, 2006 at the Sundance Film Festival. The film stars Joseph Fiennes as Burrows, a detective hired to profile "Darwin Award" candidates who accidentally kill themselves. Winona Ryder plays Siri, an insurance investigator working with Burrows. The film also features David Arquette, Juliette Lewis, Metallica, Wilmer Valderrama, and Chris Penn (who passed away one day before the film's Sundance premiere).
