The psychological drama tells the story of Peter, a European desperate to enter the United States. Because he doesn't have the proper papers for asylum, he jumps ship and sneaks into New York City. While in New York, he's aided by down-on-her-luck factory worker Maggie (Grahame) and a World War II vet, now jazz musician, who Peter helped when he was shot down in the war. Peter hopes to obtain legal papers when he can prove that he was instrumental in aiding Allied underground activities during the war. He has only 24-hours to prove his case. TriviaThe film was shot on location in New York City and at the United Nations building (the "glass wall" of the title) on First Avenue at 46th Street in Manahttan.Cast
