The Haunted Mansion Holiday is a seasonal attraction at the Disneyland parks in California and Japan. It is a crossover of The Haunted Mansion and Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas. The Haunted Mansion is closed every September since 2001 and is refurbished to get the Haunted Mansion Holiday ready, then keep the attraction open until January the following year and return the Haunted Mansion to normal. The musicical score has been created by Gordon Goodwin and Danny Elfman and several characters in the ride are voiced original actors from the Nightmare Before Christmas.StorylineThe story of the new overlay of the Haunted Mansion follows the story of the Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack Skellington and the townsfolk of Halloween Town invade the mansion and transform it into a Christmas winter wonderland.ChangesThe Haunted Mansion, both inside and out is decorated in Christmas decorations and Jack-O-Lanterns. The plaque outside the mansion is now replaced by the spooky Christmas wreath from the Nightmare Before Christmas. The Ghost Host's lines are now rhyming and he is voiced by Corey Burton. The stretching and changing portraits are all different. Zero, the ghost dog, replaces the floating candelabrum in the endless hallway and the strange vampire teddy bear replaces the raven in the conservatory. The evil wreath appears again in the corridor of doors. Madame Leota has a new speech, about the 13 days of Christmas. In the ballroom, there is a massive ginger bread mansion and a large Christmas Tree too. In the attic, most of the old stuff has been replaced by scary toys, including a Jack-O-Lantern in the box, and an enormous snake curls around the room, a long naught and nice list in its mouth. The whereabouts of the bride is unknown. Down in the graveyard, we see Jack Skellington in his Santa suit with Zero, standing where the caretaker and his whimpering dog are. A group of singing pumpkins replace the singing busts, singing a new version of Grim Grinning Ghosts. A skeletal reindeer plays tug-o-war with a skeletal dog in the graveyard. Lock, Shock and Barrel have replaced the Hitchhiking Ghosts. Replacing Little Leota at the end of the ride is a miniature version of Sally the living ragdoll.[ Visit the complete Wikipedia entry for The Haunted Mansion Holiday ] Some related entries: I Am Curious | Adolf Born | The Sword of Doom | Jacob Burns film center | Australian Council of Film Societies | Jacob's Sound | Alexander Popov | Stat camera | Super Duper Sumos | Half Light | Happy Birthday, Charlie Brown This page is based on the copyrighted Wikipedia article The Haunted Mansion Holiday; it is used under the GNU Free Documentation License.
