Synopsis

Main character Eleanor Vance has been forced to leave the house by her sister, but a phone call brings her attention to an experiment in insomnia. This experiment is directed by Dr. David Marrow and is supposed to take place at Hill House. When the characters have moved into the house the story starts to develop and a dramatic history of an Industrial Revolution tycoon seeking revenge upon his wife starts to unveil. He wanted revenge because she told authorities about his pedophile-ism and murdering of children from his child-labor-style factory. Although the evil man becomes a rather powerful demon, the wife (reincarnated as Eleanor Vance (Taylor)) and the souls of the innocent children manage to send him to his own, personal hell.

This movie is on the Golden Raspberry list (i.e. one of the worst movies ever). Bleah.
