Movies - The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour

The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour was the fourth Nicktoons crossover story, set between The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and The Fairly OddParents. It aired on Nickelodeon on May 7, 2004, and was released on DVD on May 11, 2004 after that. It was so successful that it spawned two sequels forming a crossover trilogy featuring the main characters from both shows.

Timmy's wish and his Auto-Poofer cause Jimmy Neutron of Retroville, Texas and Timmy Turner of Dimmsdale, California to wind up in each other's worlds.

Timmy Turner has a science project to do for the Dimmsdale Elementary Science Fair, but he hasn't even started it yet; as a matter of fact, the Science Fair is tonight! So, instead of making a last-minute bargain-hunting for materials, Timmy wishes for a transporting pen and wishes he was in the "Greatest Lab in the Universe", which just happens to be the three-dimensional laboratory of Jimmy Neutron in Retroville. In Jimmy's lab, Jimmy is busy upgrading his robotic dog, Goddard. Just then Timmy, now appearing as a three-dimensional being, poofs in and a scuffle between them ends with Jimmy getting transported to the two-dimensional world of Dimmsdale when he accidently taps the star of Timmy's Auto-Poofer, thinking it was one of his own mini-lasers. When Jimmy’s friends Carl and Sheen drop by, they don’t know who Timmy is; instead they think it's still Jimmy, but "small-headed". Timmy falls in love with Cindy Vortex
, but they must join forces to defeat Goddard when the robodog is reprogrammed by Timmy's computer game, Decimator: Crush the Planet, thinking Goddard was a game console. Meanwhile, in Dimmsdale, Jimmy must help and protect Timmy’s fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, from Mr. Crocker and his evil scheme to take over Fairy World. Will Jimmy and Timmy defeat the destructive forces in each other's worlds? Will Jimmy find a way to get back to Retroville? Will Timmy find a way to get back to Dimmsdale and win the Science Fair without Cosmo and Wanda's help?

Trivia

  • In the Simpsons episode Treehouse of Horror VI, Homer also describes the 3-D world as "bulgy".
  • Jimmy does a 2-D Brain Blast, although his brain itself is 3-D. Timmy starts to do one, but when the camera gets to his ear, it pulls back fast because he gets bored.
  • Jimmy doesn't mention Carl or Sheen's name at all during his time in Retroville and Dimmsdale.
  • In case you didn't noticed the thing on Timmy's head was the helmet Jimmy used drain his brainpower in the episode "Normal Boy" and just like Jimmy, Timmy's IQ was reduced to that of a drooling brain-dead monkey. Also Timmy said the same Jimmy said when he became stupid. "I'm loopy!"
  • Cosmo and Wanda pay homage to The Wizard of Oz
when they reveal a big robot Fudgehead Suit.
  • This was the third appearance of Mighty Mom.
  • This is the first Nicktoon movie to show The Fairly Oddparents clips in lower-case caption (normal Fairly Oddparents episodes are in upper-case).
