Movies - The Last Remake of Beau Geste

The Last Remake of Beau Geste is a 1977 comedy film directed and co-written by Marty Feldman
, who is also the star.

The plot is loosely based on that of 'Beau Geste
', a frequently-filmed story of brothers and their adventures in the French foreign legion. The Last Remake of Beau Geste is a satirical take on this story, featuring humour based heavily upon wordplay and absurdity. Feldman plays Digby Geste, the awkward and clumsy "identical twin" brother of Michael York
's Beau, the dignified, aristocratic swashbuckler. The rest of the cast features various accomplished actors, both dramatic and serious, including Ann-Margret
as their adoptive mother, Peter Ustinov
as their commanding officer, and other roles played by Spike Milligan
, James Earl Jones
, Avery Schreiber
, Terry-Thomas
, Trevor Howard
, Henry Gibson
, Roy Kinnear
and Ed McMahon.
