The Santa Clause 2 (2002) is a sequel to the 1994 film, The Santa Clause
. All the principal actors from the first film reprise their roles. According to the Internet Movie Database, the film cost around $60m to make and had box receipts in excess of $150m.

This time, Santa (Tim Allen) is pressed to find a 'Mrs. Claus' before the next Christmas Eve, or the Clause will be broken and Christmas will die away. Meanwhile, while he searches for a wife, a fake Santa takes control of the North Pole. He thinks everyone's naughty, and he plans to give the entire world coal.

Producer Brian Reilly said, "Santa has to find a way to deal with being a dad in a time of crisis for his son, and balance that with keeping the North Pole running for all the children of the world."
