The Sword and the Sorcerer is a 1982 action/adventure film, starring Lee Horsley, Richard Lynch, and Richard Moll, directed by Albert Pyun. A mercenary with a three-bladed sword rediscovers his royal heritage when he is recruited to help a princess foil the designs of a brutal tyrant and a powerful sorcerer in conquering the land. Reviews of the film were generally negative. Sword and the Sorcerer had been conceived of as the first movie in a series, but a disappointing box office performance ended the proposed adventures of Prince Talon earlier than planned.
