. The film takes a blunt look at incest in an England family.

Main Characters & Plot

Freddie Cunliffe plays Tom, an alienated teenager distraught due to his move from London to a new home in a Devon countryside, where he misses his old peers and distant relatives. He begins to uncover a sexual secret between his 18 year old sister, Jessie, and their dad. The tension between Tom and Jessie thickens as he reveals his knowledge of the incest. Eventually Tom confronts their father with accusations, and the dad instinctively lashes out in an intense beating, yelling and cursing and exploding. After Tom shares the secret with his mother (who had just given birth to a baby daughter), she flips out and, in shame and disbelief, leaves her husband. Finally Tom, with Jessie by her side, stabs and murders their dad in his bedroom. They retreat to a hillside bunker, distraught and traumatized. Jessie asks, "What are we gonna' do," signalling that they're on their own from then on.
