| Thirteen Days (2000) is a film is about the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962 and was directed by Roger Donaldson. New Line Cinema was one of the production companies. While shown in limited release in 2000, wide release did not occur until 2001, with a staggered release to various countries throughout most of the year. Christopher Lawford (son of Peter Lawford), who played a minor role, is a nephew of John F. Kennedy. Thirteen Days is the second movie about President Kennedy in which Kevin Costner has a lead role as someone other than Kennedy (as Kenneth O'Donnell). (The first was JFK.) It is also the second movie in which Steven Culp plays Robert F. Kennedy, the other being Norma Jean & Marilyn.
