| Tom and Jerry: The Movie is a 1993 American animated feature film, and the first feature to star MGM's cat-and-mouse team Tom and Jerry. The film is a departure from typical Tom and Jerry cartoons: Tom and Jerry talk, the duo works together to help an orphan girl in trouble, and the film contains numerous musical numbers. The film was received poorly by critics and viewers alike. Richard Kind provided the voice of Thomas "Tom" Cat, and Dana Hill the voice of Gerald "Jerry" Mouse. The film was directed by Phil Roman, and produced by Film Roman, Inc. for Turner Entertainment. It was distributed in North America by Miramax Family Films.
