Movies - Trannies

The Trannies was a one-man, on-line awards show among the Transformers fan community on the Internet.

Introduced in 1996 and discontinued in 2003, the Trannies were held annually, around New Year. The Trannies were developed by Robert Jung from the USA, who was the sole judge, editor and webmaster of the entire awards show.

A few weeks before New Year, Robert Jung would post a ballot both on his webpage and on Usenet, describing the various categories (of which there were almost a hundred). Voters then had up to January 31 to fill in the ballot and e-mail it to Jung. Jung then compiled the results, wrote a lot of imaginative text to make it look like a transscription of a real-life awards show, and posted the results to both his webpage and Usenet, generally around the start of May.
