Transporter 2 is a 2005 film directed by Louis Leterrier and produced by Luc Besson. It is the sequel to the 2002 film, The Transporter

Jason Statham stars as Frank Martin, a professional transporter who delivers packages without questions. Set in Miami, Florida, he chauffeurs a young boy who is soon kidnapped and it's up to Martin to save him.

Plot

In the sequel to The Transporter, Frank has relocated from the French Mediterranean to Miami, Florida, where as a favor to a friend, Frank is driving for the wealthy Billings family. There’s very little that can surprise The Transporter, but young Jack Billings has done just that; Frank has unexpectedly bonded with Jack, age 6, whom he drives to and from school, in his new Audi A8. But when Jack is kidnapped, Frank must use his battle-tested combat skills to retrieve the boy and thwart the kidnappers’ master plan to release a virus that will kill anyone with whom it comes in contact.

was not originally a strong possibility, but very solid DVD sales led to the sequel quickly getting greenlit
The dedication during the closing credits is for Michael Stone, the director of photography for the film, who died in a car accident on July 29, 2005.
The actor playing the SWAT commander, Marty Wright, went on to play a World Wrestling Entertainment character called "The Boogeyman."
