| Tregoweth Edmond "Treg" Brown (November 4, 1899 – April 28, 1984) was a motion picture sound editor who was responsible for the sound effects in Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons starting in 1934. He also won the 1965 Academy Award for Sound Effects for his work on the film The Great Race. Even though he was the sound man, producer Leon Schlesinger insisted that Brown be credited as "Film editor" instead, because he thought it sounded more dignified. Brown was also a guitarist and vocalist for Red Nichols and His Five Pennies. The name of the "Tregoweth Brown Building" in Chuck Jones' One Froggy Evening (1955) is a nod to Brown.
