Tsukuyomi - Moon Phase (月詠 -MOON PHASE-) is a manga by Keitarō Arima and a 25 episode anime series which aired on TV in Japan from September 2004 through March 2005 on the TV Tokyo and TV Osaka networks. Tsukuyomi is a supernatural romance comedy about Hazuki (葉月), a cute young girl (loli-moe) who happens to be a powerful vampire, living with a photojournalist named Kōhei Morioka (森丘耕平 Morioka Kōhei) and his family in Japan, and their attempts to keep Hazuki free from her vampire captors in Germany.

The manga and anime are well known for the Gothic Lolita design of the main character. The anime is also known for its opening theme, Neko-mimi Mode (lit. Cat-ears mode), performed by French Shibuya-kei artist Dimitri from Paris. On a side note, "Neko-mimi Mode" has already become a catch-phrase among otaku, especially the loli-moé crowd.

Moon Phase was acquired by FUNimation in 2005. It is scheduled to be released on DVD in North America in summer 2006.

An English translation of the Tsukuyomi - Moon Phase manga has been licensed by Tokyopop with the first two volumes now in release.
