| Under Suspicion is an American film released in 2000 and directed by Stephen Hopkins. The movie stars Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman, Thomas Jane, Miguel Angel Suarez, Nydia Caro and Monica Bellucci. Tagline: Everyone has secrets. Some of them are crimes. The film is based on the 1970's British novel Brainwash, written by John Wainwright. It was nominated by the Mystery Writers of America for the 2001 Edgar Award for best motion picture.
