John Carpenter's Village of the Damned was a science fiction film made in 1995, directed by John Carpenter.

It was a remake of a 1960 film of the same name, both ultimately based on the novel The Midwich Cuckoos by John Wyndham. It starred Christopher Reeve, Kirstie Alley & Mark Hamill. This movie stood out from the original due to its incorporation of graphic violence, with depictions of such things as a man falling asleep on a barbeque grill, a woman eviscerating herself and a woman burning to death.

Plot

An American village is visited by some unknown life form which leaves the women of the village pregnant. Nine months later, the babies are born, and they all look normal, but it doesn't take the "parents" long to realise that the kids are not human or humane.
