F. Xavier Atencio (born 1920 in Walsenburg, Colorado), commonly known as X Atencio, is a former animator, composer, and Imagineer for The Walt Disney Company.

He was a Disney artist from 1938 until 1965, when he became an Imagineer to help design the Disneyland Railroad's Primeval World diorama segment. He contributed to various Disney attractions after that. He wrote the script for the Pirates of the Caribbean, including the theme song, "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life for Me)." He wrote the script for the The Haunted Mansion, including the theme song, "Grim Grinning Ghosts." His voice can also be heard in the Disneyland Haunted Mansion when the attraction comes to a temporary stop. He announces, "Playful spooks have interrupted our tour...please remain seated in your Doom Buggies."

He retired from The Walt Disney Company in 1984 and was named a Disney Legend in 1996.
