| Zombies is a 2006 film about zombies. At one point, it was believed that Tobe Hooper was set to direct the film. Now, J.S. Cardone has stepped up to the role. Several cast spots have been filled, including Lori Heuring, Scout Taylor-Compton, Chloe Moretz, Geoffrey Lewis and Martin McDougall. The story is about recently widowed Karen Tunny (Heuring) and her two daughters, Sarah (Taylor-Compton) and Emma (Moretz). They move to a remote mountain home which Karen has inherited from the family of her late husband. However, she is unaware that the home is situated near an old mine, the site of an early 20th century tragedy in which many children were buried alive. It is currently being filmed.
