| Twenty four year old Adesh Samaroo is a Trinidadian chutney soca singer. Born in Tacarigua, a town in central Trinidad. He has been performing for nine years now. However, during the last three years, Adesh became known as one of our country's most wanted chutney-soca artistes. He gained notice on the local scene in late 2002 with a highly controversial hit Rum Till I Diefrom the album Rum til I die This hit chutney song made him a music icon in his own way. His second release proved just as successful, and also as controversial. It was entitled Cyar Go Fuh Cane. This song played upon the fact that the local sugar cane company, Caroni (1975) Ltd. had recently been shut down.This only increased his popularity, and he released a third single"Rajin Jheem Jheem Joom" from his second album (Rum Didn't Kill Meh)a remake of Haniff Mohammed’s work. This release was also very successful, and saw the young Samaroo going abroad to perform in various countries. He also released songs like "Gloria", " Married" & "Cat Meat"were all super hits from his third album entitled " Thanks To All" this album was a tribute to all of his family, friends and fans, which he said, he can never stop being grateful for all the love and support that he has been given.Adesh writes most of his songs and is aided by Varindra Kalpoo with arranging the musical composition of the songs. His foreign bookings are arranged and managed by Mohan Jaikaran, who manages Samaroo. It is also Jaikaran who Samaroo considers as a father and turns to for advice. High points in his career was was when he won the National Chutney Monarch in 2004, his trip to Bollywood for The Bollywood Music Awards in 2004 which was held in Atlantic City, Taj Mahal, where he met Sharon Stone And Karishma Kapoor. He also performed with the late Kanchan in 2004. Samaroo has also won many and many awards for his talent. In 2004 he won six awards at the 103 FM Music Awards and in 2005 he won five awards there again. He also won the World Caribbean Awards and The Sunshine Music Awards. In April of 2005 Adesh was involved in a major vehicular accident that left him in critical condition in the hospital. During his stay in the hospital, he slowly fades away from the spotlight. His condition improved, however, and he was fully recovered a few months later. He made an emotional return to the stage on November 12th 2005 in Skinner Park, San Fernando in Trinidad. The concert was entitled ""The Return Of Adesh, Thanks For Life". Many patrons turned out and the concert was a huge success. At the end of 2005 he was finishing touches of his fourth album.
