| Albrecht Mayer is principal oboist for the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. He was a student of Gerhard Scheuer, Georg Meerwein, Maurice Bourgue and Ingo Goritzki, and began his professional career in as principal oboist for the Bamberg Symphonic Orchestra in 1990.
