| Anthony Santos (* 1981 in New York) is a bachata musician of dominicanian origin, renowned for his role in redefining the genre to include romantic music. He entered onto the scene in the early 1990s, directly after Blas Durán had appropriated the electric guitar for the genre. Santos' adoption of soft romantic lyrics was more socially accepted than the bawdy cabaret style common to bachata before him, and helped move bachata into the Caribbean Latino mainstream.
