Musicians - Antony Harding

Antony Harding is a British singer, songwriter and musician from the Isle Of Wight. He is best known as the drummer in London band Hefner, but also makes his own soft and bittersweet acoustic music as ANT.

History

After releasing a couple of low key singles in 1999, Ant released his first mini album, the five-track CD EP Cures for Broken Hearts in 2000 on English label Fortune and Glory. Having picked up air play from John Peel on Radio 1 with his first 2 singles, Ant then recorded a 4 song session for the John Peel show.

Ant's debut solo album A Long Way to Blow a Kiss was released in 2002 also on Fortune and Glory Records.

Ant signed a deal with Italian label Homesleep Records in 2003 who released Ant's second mini album Floating On The Breeze.

Ant returned to Fortune and Glory Records to release his compilation album Sad To See It's Morning in 2004, featuring all the singles and b-sides and rarities Ant had released up to that point.

Today Ant lives in Malmö, Sweden, and his second solo album, Footprints Through the Snow will be released in February 2006 on Homesleep Records.

In 2005 Ant collaborated once again with Hefner band-mate Darren Hayman
, providing acoustic guitar, backing vocals and percussion on a track on Darren's solo EP Cortinaland.
