| Avery Monarch was a house and techno group from around Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, that had some releases from around 1992 to 1994. AM was part of the post-acid boom of new experimental electronic music that happened in the early 90’s. Some songs sound more like hardcore techno while others are more ambient or trance. Albums include Stone Dharma, Wodinsday, Pickled Fences and Tranceworks. The Avery Monarch albums are hardly available anymore. Some stores still have some of the original audio-cassettes, which sell now for collector’s prices. The music is still available in MP3 format on some sites. However, the new MP3s are cuts and remixes, averaging about 4 minutes each. Only a few of these are the full length songs as appearing on the original releases.
