| Bulent Ortacgil (born 1950) is a Turkish composer and singer. Born in Ankara, Turkey, Bülent Ortaçgil studied chemical engineering at the Istanbul University. In 1974, he released his first album, a vinyl LP titled Benimle Oynar Misin (Would You Play With Me?). Although the album did not become an instant hit, it is now considered as the only work that has had an everlasting effect on the Turkish popular/rock music scene.
