| Carl Cox (born July 29, 1962 in Oldham, Lancashire, England) is a popular international techno DJ. He is also known as the Big Black Cox or 3 Deck Wizard because he plays on three turntables at once instead of playing on two. He spearheads two record labels, Intec Records and 23rd Century records. Carl became famous as a hardcore and house DJ in the late 1980s and early 1990s, playing at clubs such as Shelly's, Sterns Nightclub, Heaven, Angels and The Hacienda.
