| Carlos Surinach (b. Barcelona, Spain, March 4, 1915; d. November 12, 1997) was a Catalan Spanish composer and conductor. He emigrated to the United States in 1951 where he became a successful composer for the dance. He composed three ballet scores for the renowned choreographer Martha Graham: Acrobats of God (1960), Embattled Garden (1958), and The Owl and the Pussycat (1978).
