| Carmine Appice is one of the more well-travelled and versatile rock drummers of the second half of the 20th century. He intitially came to prominence as a rock drummer with Vanilla Fudge. After splitting with Vanilla Fudge he and bassist Tim Bogert(also from Vanilla Fudge) formed Cactus. Later he was drummer with Beck, Bogert and Appice with Jeff Beck on lead guitar and Tim Bogert on bass. He went on to play with Rod Stewart during the 1970s, and co-wrote "Young Turks" and "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" with Stewart. In the 1980s and 1990s he played with hard rock group Blue Murder. He was also one of the drummers on Pink Floyd's 1987 album A Momentary Lapse of Reason.
