Cliff Martinez (born February 5, 1954) is an American film score composer and former drummer for Captain Beefheart, The Dickies, The Weirdos, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers (1982-1985). He has worked/collaborated with director Steven Soderbergh on many soundtracks, and is perhaps best known in the music and filmic world for his Soderbergh movie-soundtracks.
