	Musicians - Cookie Crew

Cookie Crew is a rap music duo formed in Clapham, South London in 1983 by MC Remedee (real name Debbie Pryce) and Susie Q (real name Susie Banfield). They decided to break away from a 13-strong rap aggregation called "Warm Milk And The Cookie Crew" and make a career as a duo. They gained a contract from UK dance label Rhythmn King and were put in the studio with production trio The Beatmasters, who put them in a house music direction.

In December 1987 resultant single ROK DA HOUSE (no relation to the dance single ROCK DA HOUSE by Scoop) was a massive hit in the clubs and crossed over into the mainstream, becoming a chart success. The duo moved on to other labels and producers, producing a string of hit singles in 1989, with "Born This Way", "Got To Keep On" and "Come And Get Some".

By 1992 there were differences of opinion with their label London Records and each other over musical direction and the duo parted company to pursue separate projects.
