Eric Erlandson (born January 9, 1963) was the lead guitarist for 90's rock/grunge band Hole. He has been linked to Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love and at one time dated Drew Barrymore, who is the godmother of Cobain and Love's daughter Frances Bean. Erlandson had a long standing relationship with Hole bassist Kristen Pfaff before her death from a Heroin overdose. Kristen died two months after the release of Hole's second album Live Through This. He is currently living in California and practicing Nichiren Shoshu Buddhism. Eric is no longer in contact with Courtney Love, but he remains good friends with Melissa Auf der Maur, and he appeared on one track on Auf Der Maur's debut solo album. Eric worked on former Spice Girl Mel C's latest album.
