| Franny Beecher (b. 1921), also known as Frank or Francis Beecher, was lead guitarist for Bill Haley & His Comets from 1954 to 1962, and is best remembered for his innovative guitar solos combining elements of country music and jazz. As of January 2006, he is still performing and touring the world with The Comets. Beecher's voice can be heard giving the introduction to the classic 1956 Haley recording, "See You Later Alligator".
