| Fred Maher is an American drummer, programmer and record producer. He was a member of Massacre (1980-81), the 1980s group, Scritti Politti, and is best known as the producer of Lou Reed's album, New York (1989), Matthew Sweet's album Girlfriend (1991), and Information Society's self titled album (1988, which achieved platinum sales status). He has often collaborated with entertainment producer, Ron Baldwin.
