| Garth Porter (born September 24, 1948 in Hamilton, New Zealand) is a Country music songwriter who co-wrote some of the songs, with Lee Kernaghan, for the live Musical theatre production The Man From Snowy River: Arena Spectacular. He was the keyboard player with the Australian group, Sherbet, and co-wrote most of the groups hit songs, including their 1976 hit "Howzat". He sang lead vocals on "Hollywood Dreams" and "Matter of Time" with Sherbet. He is now a record producer and song-writer.
