| George Grizzard (b. April 1, 1928, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina) is a film and Broadway actor. Grizzard has appeared in over 40 films and dozens of television programs. He appeared in Advise and Consent in 1962, as well as guest starring on the NBC television drama Law & Order. After a long and distinguished career, Mr. Grizzard earned a Tony Award for Best Actor in 1996 for his work in A Delicate Balance by Edward Albee. He has been one of Albee's favorite interpreters of his work.
