Giles Swayne (born June 30, 1946) is an English composer.BiographySwayne is a cousin of Elizabeth Maconchy. He spent much of his childhood in Liverpool, and began composing early. He later studied with Alan Bush and Olivier Messiaen. In 1990, he moved to Ghana, returning to Britain in 1996 in personally painful times chronicled in his autobiography (see the link below).Selected compositions
