| Ian Lloyd is the singer of the band Stories, who had the hit single "Brother Louie" in the USA. The song made #1 in the Billboard top 100 charts. Formed by former Left Banke founding member Michael Brown, Stories also had the Brown composed hit single "I'm Coming Home" sung by Ian Lloyd.
Lloyd later worked with the band Foreigner singing backup vocals. His subsequent solo efforts never matched the commercial success of Stories. He now lives in New York City and works at a baseball camp in Connecticut. Although Ian Lloyd was classically trained on both piano and violin, he first reached international acclaim when he sang lead for the world-renowned band Stories, formed with Michael Brown (The Left Banke/”Walk Away Renee”) in the early 70’s. After a successful run, Stories disbanded and Ian pursued a solo career. His well-received albums include his first self-entitled, Goosebumps (which produced a Top 40 hit “Slip Away” written by Ric Ocasek (The Cars), Third Wave Generation, and Planet X. Ian has recently formed a powerful new unit, the Ian Lloyd Band, with some of New York City’s finest players, creating yet another chapter in his music legacy. Ian’s repertoire include his hits with Stories' - "Brother Louie" (#1 International hit, which is currently featured in "Guess Who" the new Bernie Mac & Ashton Kutcher movie,) "Mammy Blue" (ranked in the top 10,) and "I'm Coming Home" (played as an 'anthem' when our soldiers were returning home from being held hostage in Iran) as well as songs from his past solo albums, and O-de-PO, his new CD. Lloyd’s vocal credits consist of singing with a myriad of major recording artists on tracks, which include numerous Foreigner’s hits such as “Feels Like The First Time,” “Cold As Ice,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” “Juke Box Hero,” and “Double Vision.” He can also be heard on Billy Joel’s “I Go To Extremes,” as well as appearing on CDs by British rock super group, Yes, Peter Frampton, Ian McDonald and Survivor, to name a few.
