He is most well known for his unique approach to finger tapping on guitar and utilizing a loop station. His distinctive style allows him to achieve unusual textures on the guitar. His propensity towards guitar tapping allows him to accompany himself on keyboard at live performances, using one hand for each instrument. He has played in both math rock pioneers Don Caballero and the avant garde band Storm & Stress. He is currently a member of Battles.
