Jason Collett is a Canadian singer-songwriter, born in Brampton, Ontario. He performs both as a solo artist and as a member of Broken Social Scene.

Collett started in music as a member of Andrew Cash's band. He subsequently took time off from music to raise his children, and returned in 2000 with the album Chrome Reflection, which was credited to Bird, a band consisting of Collett, Cash and Hawksley Workman, with additional contributions from Lenni Jabour, Josh Finlayson and Gavin Brown.

As of late 2005 Jason Collet has taken a hiatus from Broken Social Scene to continue to pursue his solo career, and promote his recent album Idols of Exile with his backing band Paso Mino.
