Johann Friedrich Reichardt (born Königsberg, 25 November 1752 - died Giebichenstein 27 June, 1814) was a German composer conductor and writer about music.

He studied in Königsberg. In 1776 he became Kapellmeister in Berlin at the court of Frederick the Great, a post he held until 1794.

He wrote several Italian operas, two in French and a number of Singspiel, three of them with libretti by Goethe. He is also famous for his songs, and an unsuccessful new genre called the Liederspiel. In his last years at Giebichenstein he was associated with the Romantic movement.
