Musicians - John Perry


John Perry (born June 4 1952) is guitarist with English band The Only Ones. He was born in Bristol, England.

He formed The Only Ones, with Peter Perrett in 1976. Between 1976 and 1980 the band recorded 3 LPs for CBS (Epic in the US) and numerous other albums have subsequently been released, including BBC John Peel Sessions (Darkness & Light: The Complete BBC Recordings). John has also worked with Johnny Thunders, Marianne Faithfull, Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter, The Sisters of Mercy
, and is currently recording an album with Scottish singer/songwriter Freddie Stevenson.

Recently, he has written several well received music biographies - on The Who's singles (collected as seminal album 'Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy'), The Rolling Stones' double album Exile On Main Street and in 2004, Jimi Hendrix
's Electric Ladyland.
